Back From Queen's Prize Tournament

I’m back from Queen’s prize tournament this weekend. I went just with my friend Susan and we stayed in a hotel. I got a chance to try out the new GPS which was a gift for my birthday. It works pretty well, but it seems not to understand the divided highway up in Northern MO, Southern Iowa. It kept wanting us to exit but then get back on. It seemed to think the main road was someplace else. We ignored that part and it worked just fine. We hit a bit of snow on the way out Friday, but only toward the end of our trip. We were in the hotel before midnight and travelled the other hour and 15 minutes to the event the next morning. I handed out some clothespin dolls that I’ve been making (see pic!) as favors to 4 of the children who entered. There were 80 entrants and children’s entries - pretty good!

Dorissa stayed home with Dad and I didn’t sign up to judge anything so I had a chance to serve as an attendant to our Princess as a lady-in-waiting and that was very fun. I was back home by 1 pm on Sunday and spent some time putting away the Christmas decorations and cleaning up.
I’m also trying to book a trip for our 10th anniversary, but I’m not getting very far. I’m thinking beach or something Caribbean and cheap! I’m just at a loss on how to go about booking the trip. I’ve called a travel agent, but she only gave me one resort. Shouldn’t she provide a few choices? She said I could pick a different resort and she would book it, but I don’t know what else to pick and I don’t have time to research it. Shouldn’t she do that? I’m not sure she was a very good agent.
